New release and it's FIRE! Thanks Thomas Rhett!

Hey! What do you think? The blog got an update today after I did some learning in HTML the last couple days. I have a few things to still tweak, but it was a fun trick to learn. 😉

I wish I could take a poll through here. Well, I contemplated putting in a jotform because I do love a good survey. But really, I am so curious to know what music means to my friends and family. To some people I ride in the car with its all about the beat. We can be driving down I-5 and it is all about how the rhythm makes you dance in the drivers seat (shouldn't that be against the new distracted driving law now that I think about it?). For others, it is about each and every lyric that is written and how those words bring out emotions and memories. Like the moments you are sitting at the beach, a song comes on, and you have an arm around your shoulder as that Kenny Chesney song comes on... you are transported back to that concert you'll never forget.

Music, it is such a powerful thing. Lately, I like to let Spotify just do its thing. It basically comes on, and BAM! the perfect song comes on for whatever mood I am in. Whether it is the new Will Reagan song "Lay It All Down" that I can just belt out to release that stress that I have been feeling, or Thomas Rhett's new "Unforgettable"  that I just dance around my room to...it is such a gift if you allow it to be more than just a thing to fill your ears.

There have been times when I didn't know what medicine I needed to put a smile on my face. I knew that I had gotten to a place where maybe my heart was sad, or maybe I was angry, or my mind had hit a road block on a work project. Music fixed each of those things. For years I have taken for granted how much I loved music and the role it played in my life. Not anymore, I love this stuff. 💜
